Hand in Hand Fire Office Mark c.1750's Sold whom continued to use Thonet'sA superb lead made 'Hand in Hand' Office Mark, Policy Number 77815. A very good example of this Campany's Mark, which would have been issued in the early to mid 1750's. During the 18th Century insurance companies would maintain their own 'fire insurance brigades' that served those buildings insured by them, each building would have a fixed plaque 'mark' displaying the insurance company logo and policy number.
